This full day class is a special collaboration between Mara of Maitraya Energy Healing, Yogi Kim Blair, and Be Inspired.
It includes Mara’s teachings in the morning, tea/coffee and cake, a gentle Yoga session with Kim, a bring and share lunch, and a crochet mandala workshop after lunch with Be Inspired, followed by a closing guided medititation.
Mara is a Spiritual Medium and Reiki Master with an absolute passion for creativity, art, all things metaphysical and the Chakra system of course. As such, the foundation of both of her Reiki classes and healings as well as her creative and theory based workshops are largely focused around us understanding ourselves through our Chakra system. Mara is keen to create an awareness of the Chakra system – not just as some foreign energy system but rather as the map to self-discovery, self-healing and even addiction recovery!
We will look at what Chakras are, the different elements of each of the chakras, how we can work with these Chakras, working with tools specifically related to each Chakra (Crystals, Oils etc…) and the deficiencies and excesses of each Chakra. The morning Chakra class is specifically designed to give basic yet diverse knowledge of your Chakra system enabling you to be able to start working with your Chakras and identifying triggers, patterns and stories in your life that are connected to your Chakras.
Kim is a Crochet-obsessed, yarn-addicted, yogi who believes that you can NEVER have too much colour. Also, that leopard print is always a good idea. She has attained qualifications in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, and has a special interest in mindfulness meditation. At this workshop, she will be leading a beginner-friendly gentle Vinyasa flow concentrating on the Svadhisthana Chakra, representing the seat of our creativity.
The afternoon crochet Mandala workshop will get you creating and playing with the 7 main Chakra colours. The Mandala is designed for intermediate crocheters and not for beginners. We will do triple trebles and double trebles and some overlay crochet. You can choose to work in Scheepjes Colour Crafter (acrylic) or with the Cotton 8 (100% soft cotton)
You will get Chakra notes, yarn kit (7 Chakra colours of Scheepjes Colour Crafter x 50 grams or 7 x 50 grams Cotton 8), and Mandala pattern.
