Beginners Knitted Cowl Workshop
Be Inspired Beginners Knitting class. The class will include the book Knit Know How which is an absolutely brilliant resource (retails for R395), a set of KnitPro Zing needles (retails for R100) and two 100 gram hanks of DHY 50% merino 50% mulberry silk chunky yarn blend.
My reasoning for going straight into “nice” yarn is that knitting is a creative, soul fulfilling hobby and as such you NEED to use the good stuff. The feel of good yarn, good needles, adds to the pleasure of knitting. And knitting in acrylic cheaper yarn just does not feel the same. So if you want a proper feel for knitting, this yarn will feel great, plus because of its organic nature it will be far more accommodating to a newbies demands and the finish will look better AND you will want to wear it and not just relegate it to the back of the cupboard or give it to the dog.
All of us have limited time, and so we should make the most of what time we do have, and that includes using the best products for the job.
The actual workshop and tea/cake will be on me, you just need to pay for the kit as per above, and that has been discounted to R760 (value over R900)
Space limited to 4 beginners so that I can teach winding hanks, casting on and knitting garter stitch.
